I Am Ready For Some Football!

New Mexico played BYU in Albuquerque on September 13, 2003. In the WAC-y old days, these two teams would routinely combine for eighty or ninety points. This time the defenses ruled, as the Cougars escaped with a 10-7 win. Katie Hnida, #2, is a placekicker from Littleton, Colorado. In the season opener, she became the first woman to score in a Division I-A football game.
